TESLA Meeting in Orsay
The LTECSC work package will meet at the next TTF Collaboration Meeting in Orsay (likely date 6th to 8th of September 2004) to discuss superconducting accelerator technology reliability issues .
First ELAN Workshop in Frascati 4th to 6th of May 2004
The First Workshop of ELAN took place at INFN Frascati, May 4 to 6, 2004. Link to the ELAN Workshop.
Agenda for the workpackage 'Superconducting technology'
A brief description of the superconducting technology will be given together with an update of the present status of superconducting cavities for a linear collider. The LTECSC work package planning will be presented. It should be the opportunity for the network participants to discuss the outlined programme for this work package within the ELAN network and its strategy. A critical review of the deliverables is desirable and should lead to a more detailed planning of the work. The focus of this discussion should be on the major added value of the network i.e. the dissemination of knowledge (setup of of a database, training courses for newcomers).
The discussion will also cover the interconnection of the ELAN LTECSC work package with the JRA1 SRF and HIPPI WP3. This will include presentations of the work package leaders of the JRAs.
